You don’t need a fancy workspace to make an enclosed apiary. I made my first with my home sewing machine at my dining room table. However, if you want to make enclosed apiaries for others, consider setting up a dedicated workspace so it doesn’t take over your home. Here’s the workspace that I set up in my nightmare of a garage.

To use as a base for your worktable, buy two, turn them on their sides, and bolt together. Secure top and bottom with a sheet of plywood cut to the dimensions of the combined units (approx. 58 in x 30 in). Then cut a sheet of heavy plywood for the worksurface and bolt to the top of the combined units. Sturdy frame and open back.
