DOT® Common Sense® twist-lock fabric-to-fabric fastener in Government Black finish. Each fastener has a grommet, washer, turn button, and back plate. These fasteners are recommended, but optional.
The apiary enclosure is designed for years of service, although the fuzzy side of the hook and loop might start to degrade after years of exposure. In such a case, the turn-button fasteners provide a backup mechanism to hold the front panel in place. They also serve as anchor points when the front panel is partially opened, and make it more difficult for small children and raccoons to open the enclosure.
